My name is Rohit Sharma, and I am from Indore city located in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. By profession, I do solar physics with a focus on radio observations. Broadly, I deal with the analysis and interpretation of scientific data. My specialisation is in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. At a personal level, I enjoy learning new stuff. However, I follow only a subset of the new things depending on my interest. My few hobbies are long travelling, running, field trips, teaching and playing cricket. I did my schooling in Indore. Later, I did five years integrated bachelors and masters in physics from Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CEBS), Mumbai. Further, I obtained a Ph.D. from National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR), Pune, India, in astrophysics.
